Wir sind etwas deprimiert, dass wir keinen Bungalow in Krabi bekommen haben, sondern \u00fcber Sylvester auf die Insel Koh Lanta ausweichen m\u00fcssen. Wir besteigen ein Boot und fahren mehr als 2 Stunden an der K\u00fcste entlang. Der Hafen in Koh Lanta l\u00e4sst schon erahnen, dass der Tourismus auf dieser Insel noch in den Kinderschuhen steckt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wir werden wieder auf einen Pickup geladen und fahren mehr als eine Stunde an der Westk\u00fcste entlang, bis wir am gebuchten &#8222;Sea &#8211; Sun Resort&#8220; ankommen. Dort teilt man uns mit, dass sie uns erst morgen erwartet h\u00e4tten. Esther und Hans bekommen noch einen Bungalow, aber wir d\u00fcrfen in einer Bambush\u00fctte \u00fcbernachten, die in der nahen Siedlung liegt. Wir ergeben uns unserem Schicksal und verbringen eine sehr heisse und schw\u00fcle Nacht auf dem harten Holzboden. Moskitos, die Malaria \u00fcbertragen k\u00f6nnten, kommen durch die schmalen Schlitze im Fussboden, kein Moskitonetz, Ratten huschen unter dem auf 1m hohen St\u00fctzen stehenden Bungalow. Nachts pinkeln wir von der Treppe ins Freie, da nirgends eine Toilette zu sehen ist. Unsere Angst vor Schlangen, die m\u00f6glicherweise unter dem Bungalow herumhuschen, ist nicht unberechtigt. Am n\u00e4chsten Tag f\u00e4llt eine giftige Pitviper von einer Palme auf den Strand und kriecht im Sand herum. Sofort jagen die Einheimischen los und erschlagen sie. Lucas ist mutig und h\u00e4lt die tote Schlange hoch.<\/p>\n<p>Im Gegensatz zum Rest des Landes leben auf Koh Lanta vorwiegend muslimische Fischer und daher schreckt uns der Muezzin auf, als er fr\u00fchmorgens zum Gebet ruft. Durch eine d\u00fcnne Bambuswand getrennt, h\u00f6ren wir die Muslime im Nachbarraum beten. Wir sind v\u00f6llig geschafft, die Kinder weinen rum und wir wollen nur noch weg aus dieser H\u00fctte. Zum Gl\u00fcck wird tats\u00e4chlich ein Bungalow frei, den wir dann ohne vorherige Reinigung \u00fcbernehmen. Wir schlafen erst noch etwas, aber die Hitze ist unglaublich (35 &#8211; 40 \u00b0C). Wir bleiben daher im Schatten der Palmen, die Kinder spielen in einer Plastikwanne, die wir mit etwas Wasser f\u00fcllen konnten. Sie lassen dann die G\u00e4ste ewig sitzen im Restaurant bevor endlich das Essen kommt. Ich lege mich mit ihnen an, da unsere Kinder hungrig sind und eigentlich l\u00e4ngst im Bett sein sollten. Aber die Bedienung kichert nur albern herum. Obwohl die Sicht nicht gut ist, sehe ich riesige Gehirnkorallen und viele tropische Fische. Ich bin begeistert und \u00fcberrede Lucas mitzuschnorcheln. Es ist aber schwierig ihn \u00fcber die scharfen Felsen ins Wasser zu dirigieren. Gerade als ich ihn hochhebe, sehe ich eine grosse schwarz-weiss geb\u00e4nderte Seeschlange an meinen F\u00fcsse entlang schl\u00e4ngeln. Ich stelle Lucas langsam wieder ab und mache einen Satz aus dem Wasser. Dabei ziehe ich mir mehrere Schnitte an den F\u00fcssen zu, aber ich wusste, dass diese Schlangenart sehr giftig ist. Trotzdem gehe ich noch mehrmals schnorcheln, Lucas darf aber nie mit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Am Sylvesterabend stellt die Crew eine K\u00fchlbox an den Strand und erkl\u00e4rt, dass man sich dort alkoholische Getr\u00e4nke holen kann. Sie w\u00fcrden aus Glaubensgr\u00fcnden im Restaurant keinen Alkohol verkaufen. Der Abend am Strand unter den riesigen Palmen und mit einem fantastischen Sternenhimmel ist wundersch\u00f6n.
