Am fr\u00fchen Morgen holte uns Baby mit unserem englischsprechenden Guide, dem Herrn im rot-karierten Hemd, am Hotel ab und wir fuhren mit einem Tuktuk zum Sri Meenakshi <span class=\"ILfuVd\"><span class=\"hgKElc\">Sundareswarar<\/span><\/span> Tempel. Im Eingangsbereich kaufte er die Eintrittskarten und die Genehmigung zum Fotografieren, dann ging es vorbei an Andenkenst\u00e4nden und Blumenh\u00e4ndlern ins Innere. Im Eingangsbereich war auch die Warteschlange f\u00fcr die Speisung der Bed\u00fcrftigen und Pilger &#8211; streng nach Geschlechtern getrennt. Dann ging es durch sp\u00e4rlich beleuchtete riesige Hallen, rechts und links von Gottheiten aus Stein bewacht. Die Decken reich mit unglaublichen Ornamanten bemalt. Wer sich \u00fcber die Hindu Gottheiten informieren m\u00f6chte, dem sei auf der Webseite <a href=\"http:\/\/lotussculpture.com\">lotussculpture.com<\/a> der Menupunkt &#8222;About &#8211; Education &#8211; Hindu Gods&#8220; empfohlen. Meistens wird ein Bus gechartert und die Gruppe f\u00e4hrt durchs Land, zieht sich festlich an und besucht eine der heiligen St\u00e4tten der Hindu-Religion, die \u00fcberall in Indien zu finden sind. dass ein Juwelier an der Strasse vor dem Tempel eine Aussichtsplattform h\u00e4tte, von der aus man eine besonders gute Sicht auf den Tempel h\u00e4tte. Er w\u00fcrde auch eine Provision bekommen, wenn wir ihm den Gefallen tun und mit ihm durch den Laden gehen. Karin liess sich ein paar Klunker zeigen, aber wir kauften nat\u00fcrlich nichts in einem solchen Nepp-Laden. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde. Ebenfalls ein gigantisches Bauwerk. Aber nach dem Tempel ist man so ges\u00e4ttigt von Eindr\u00fccken, dass man die Pracht dieses Palastes, der viele europ\u00e4ische Einfl\u00fcsse hat, nicht mehr sofort wahrnimmt. Nachmittag waren wir wieder auf uns gestellt und nahmen ein Tuktuk, das uns zum Gandhi Memorial Museum bringen sollte. Klappte auch problemlos. Vor dem Geb\u00e4ude waren mehrere St\u00e4nde aufgebaut und \u00fcberall im Park sa\u00dfen Gruppen zusammen. Im Museum waren Stellw\u00e4nde aufgestellt, auf denen man die Geschichte Indiens lesen konnte, leider war das meiste in Hindu geschrieben und f\u00fcr uns nicht zu entziffern. Neben vielen Statuen, Fotos, Videos waren auch einige handgeschriebene Briefe ausgestellt. Der blutverschmierte Lendenschurz, den Gandhi bei seiner Ermordung am 30. Januar 1948 trug, seine Armbanduhr und eine der 3 Kugeln, die ihn t\u00f6teten, lagen in Vitrinen zur Besichtigung aus. Wir wurden von den Einheimischen st\u00e4ndig beobachtet. Einer Frau hatte es der F\u00e4cher von Karin angetan, denn im Museum war es dr\u00fcckend heiss. R\u00fcckweg mit einem anderen Tuktuk kamen wir an einem Blumenmarkt vorbei. Diese Girlanden sind alle handgefertigt aus <strong>echten<\/strong> Bl\u00fcten. Viele Pilger decken sich hier mit diesen Girlanden ein, bevor sie in die Tempel zum Beten fahren. WIr stiegen hier aus und gingen zu Fuss weiter durch die Strassen. Kleinbauern sitzen den ganzen Tag vor ihrem Angebot, das oft nur aus wenigen Tomaten, Karotten, Gurken besteht. Am Strassenrand wird Brot gebacken und die Mitarbeiter freuten sich, dass wir ein Bild machten.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-8 kurz vor Sonnenuntergang gingen wir nochmals zum Minakshi-Tempel. Die ganze Szenerie hatte uns so begeistert, dass wir sehen wollten, was abends vorgeht. Wie schon morgens war der Tempel voller Gruppen, die gemeinsam durch die Hallen zogen und an verschiedenen Stellen beteten, Blumen ablegten und kleine \u00d6llichter anz\u00fcndten. Oft waren es Frauen in tollen roten und orangen Saris, die auf der dunklen Haut der Tamilen super aussahen. Aber auch sch\u00f6n angezogene junge M\u00e4nner waren unterwegs und einige trauten sich, sprachen uns an und baten uns ein Foto von ihnen zu machen. Dann nat\u00fcrlich noch ein Bild mit uns &#8211; nein meistens mit Karin. Als wir fragten, was sie mit den Bildern machen, kam stets in Facebook posten. Wir werden also in weiss nicht wievielen Facebook-Blogs auftauchen. Zu ihrem Bedauern hatten wir keinen Facebook-Account. wieder kam Bewegung in die Massen und sie str\u00f6mten in eine bestimmte Richtung. Wir beeilten uns mitzuhalten und pl\u00f6tzlich kam uns eine Prozession entgegen, die einen goldenen beleuchteten Schrein trug, der wohl ziemlich schwer war. Karin versteckte sich schnell hinter einer S\u00e4ule, um nicht in das Gedr\u00e4nge zu kommen.
