August 2008 &#8211; Ankunft auf Flores"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Fr\u00fch morgens ging es mit dem Taxi zum Flughafen in Denpasar, heute flogen wir nach Flores. Das kleine Propeller-Flugzeug war bis auf den letzten Platz besetzt. Wir hatten einen sch\u00f6nen Blick auf den h\u00f6chsten Vulkan Bali&#8217;s, \u00fcberflogen einige kleine Inseln und dann kam der Landeanflug in Labuan Bajo, einem der beiden Flugh\u00e4fen der Insel. Wir kamen \u00fcber einen Bergr\u00fccken und pl\u00f6tzlich begann das Flugzeug einen rasanten Sinkflug. Ich war der Ansicht, dass wir abst\u00fcrzen, so schnell ging es runter &#8211; Panik kam in mir auf. Aber da waren wir schon unten und setzten auf einer kurzen Landebahn auf. Ich war richtig froh \u00fcberlebt zu haben. Die Passagiere wurden in einen kleinen Warteraum geschleust bis das Gep\u00e4ck ausgeladen war. Ich hatte online einen Bungalow f\u00fcr uns gebucht und um Abholung gebeten, aber nie eine R\u00fcckantwort erhalten. Langsam wurden alle Passagiere abgeholt, nur wir nicht. Vor der Wartehalle standen 2 junge M\u00e4nner und fragten uns, ob sie uns mitnehmen sollen. Ich dachte erst, dass ich mich nie und nimmer in die H\u00e4nde von diesen Schleppern geben w\u00fcrde, sie meinten l\u00e4chelnd &#8220; Believe us, you will need us.&#8220; Und so war es dann, wir waren die Letzten im Wartesaal, kein Bus weit und breit, unbekannte Strecke zur Stadt. Sie meinten sie w\u00fcrden uns gerne umsonst mitnehmen und zum Hotel bringen, keine Verpflichtung irgendetwas zu kaufen. Unterwegs kamen wir langsam ins Gespr\u00e4ch mit Joffrey und Eddy, die Beide gut englisch sprachen. Ob wir denn schon R\u00fcckfl\u00fcge gebucht h\u00e4tte, die w\u00e4ren normalerweise sehr schnell ausgebucht ? Wenn wir keine Fl\u00fcge h\u00e4tten und w\u00fcssten wann wir abreisen wollen, sollten wir besser sofort welche buchen.<\/p>\n<p>Wir hatten keine R\u00fcckfl\u00fcge. Da ich annahm, dass nur wenige Touristen nach Flores kommen, war ich \u00fcberzeugt gewesen, dass das kein Problem sein wird. Also hielten wir an einer Travel Agency an und buchten sofort die R\u00fcckfl\u00fcge. Klappte problemlos. Joffrey sagte uns auch, dass auf Flores Kreditkarten kaum akzeptiert w\u00fcrden. Wir sollten unbedingt an der Bank Geld holen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Aber zuerst wollten wir zum Hotel, das links der Hauptstrasse, so man sie \u00fcberhaupt so nennen konnte, den Hang hoch gebaute war. Mehrere kleinere Bungalows, sehr sch\u00f6ner Garten, alles sah ganz toll aus, aber der Besitzer war \u00fcberrascht und hatte keine Ahnung, dass wir reserviert h\u00e4tten. Joffrey diskutierte etwas mit dem Besitzer, der dann kund tat, dass er uns nur eine sehr alte heruntergekommene H\u00fctte f\u00fcr eine Nacht anbieten, die in 2-3 Stunden frei w\u00fcrde. Wir tranken also erst Mal ein kaltes Getr\u00e4nk und Joffrey erz\u00e4hlte uns, dass es in der Stadt zur Zeit keine Zimmer g\u00e4be, es w\u00e4re Hochsaison. Aber auf einer kleinen Insel namens Kanawa g\u00e4be es ab Morgen einen Bungalow. Er k\u00f6nnte uns diese Insel sehr empfehlen, einfach aber toll und mit einer kleinen Tauchbasis direkt am Strand. Diese Aussicht besserte meine Laune sehr &#8211; ohne lange zu \u00fcberlegen sagten wir Joffrey, dass er uns bitte den Bungalow auf Kanawa f\u00fcr ein paar N\u00e4chte buchen sollte. Er gab uns noch seine Handy-Nummer und meinte, wir sollten ihn anrufen, wenn wir irgendwas brauchen oder er etwas f\u00fcr uns organisieren sollte. Langsam begriffen wir, dass er f\u00fcr uns wirklich eine wertvolle Hilfe war. Wir gingen dann zu Fuss ins &#8222;St\u00e4dtchen&#8220; um Geld zu holen. Aber vor der Bank war eine lange Schlange, man stand in der prallen Sonne. Die Leute in der Schlange bekamen Mitleid mit uns, als sie uns schwitzend da stehen sahen, wir waren die einzigen Touristen in der Schlange, und bedeuteten uns, dass wir vorgehen sollten. Gl\u00fccklicherweise bekamen wir sogar genug Geld f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chsten Tage. Angesichts der Baracken, in denen die Fischer und Einwohner Labuan Bajo&#8217;s leben mussten, war die H\u00fctte wahrscheinlich trotzdem super. Im Hafen waren \u00fcberall Holzplattformen auf denen Sardinen in der Sonne getrocknet wurden. Frauen und Kinder verteilten den letzten Fang, \u00fcberall war Fischgeruch. Zwischen den H\u00fctten lag \u00fcberall M\u00fcll herum, wir hatten uns diesen Ort idyllischer vorgestellt. Um ein paar Bilder von dem Ort zu machen, gingen wir die serpentinenartig angelegte Strasse hoch. Der Ausblick liess die Wirklichkeit am Hafen vergessen. Aber in einer Haarnadelkurve der Strasse wohnte eine Familie in einem Verschlag aus Karton &#8211; drinnen lief der Fernseher. Es sah trostlos aus wie die Menschen hier leben. Der einzige Ort, in dem wir uns vorstellen konnte etwas zu trinken und zu essen, war eine hippig aussehenden Bar, die von jungen Leuten gef\u00fchrt wurde. &#8222;Bungalow&#8220;. Ich war innerlich entsetzt. Die Vorstellung in dieser l\u00f6chrigen Bude wer weiss welchem Ungeziefer und Ratten ausgesetzt zu sein, machte mich ziemlich fertig. Gut dass wir wenigstens Geld und eine Aussicht auf sch\u00f6nere Bungalows hatten. Die W\u00e4nde bestanden aus Bastmatten, die Decke im Bad war schwarz vor Schimmel, aber es gab Licht, einen Ventilator, ein l\u00f6chriges Moskitonetz, eine franz\u00f6sische Sitztoilette und eine Dusche, besser als nichts.
