Dann starteten auf die restliche 132 km lange Strecke nach Labuan Bajo. Die handgesammelten Fr\u00fcchte liegen so lange an der Luft, bis sich das Fruchtfleisch von selbst von den Bohnen l\u00f6st. Es folgt die Verarbeitung in dieser Sch\u00e4lmaschine mit anschlie\u00dfender Siebung und Verlesung der Kirschkerne.&nbsp; Die Kaffeekirschen werden dazu \u00fcber einen Trichter auf eine rotierende Walze geleert, die die Kirschen zusammendr\u00fcckt. Die Bohnen fallen dann in eine Sack, der auf der R\u00fcckseite hingehoben wird. Angetrieben wurde die Walze von einem kleinen Benzinmotor, der lautstark tuckerte und f\u00fcrchterlich nach Abgasen stank. W\u00e4hrend ich noch Fotos machte, schaute sich Karin eine Stand auf der anderen Strassenseite an, an dem Kartoffeln oder so was anboten wurden. Im Nu war sie von Kindern umringt. Teilweise werden die Bohnen aber auch noch von Hand in einer Art M\u00f6rser zerstossen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 is-layout-flex vorbei an Mangob\u00e4umen mit grossen leider noch unreifen Fr\u00fcchten und an einem Kapokbaum, dessen Samen &#8222;Pflanzendaunen&#8220; liefern, das als F\u00fcllmaterial von Matratzen und Bettdecken dient. Heute feierte Indonesien seinen 63. Unabh\u00e4ngigkeitstag, deshalb standen oft diese Hinweisschilder an der Strasse und die Sch\u00fcler gingen alle in Einheitsuniform zur Schule. Indonesien wurde am 17. erz\u00e4hlte uns Eddy, dass er und seine Frau einen Teil eines grossen Zimmers mit seinen Eltern und Geschwistern teilt. Ein eigenes kleines Haus mit einem Wellblechdach w\u00e4re sein gr\u00f6sster Wunsch.
